Just a couple updates for you from this week.
First off we are very happy to announce that Troll Bridge has wrapped filming! You can read their official update on their Kickstarter page.

Troll Bridge is an epic short film based on a fable written by Terry Pratchett.  Set in the phenomenally successful Discworld series, Troll Bridge is about the world’s last Barbarian hero (now at the age of 87) embarking on a suicide mission to battle a bridge troll in mortal combat.

Troll Bridge ran a very successful fundraising campaign, bringing in over $80,000 in donations from their original goal of $45,000. To say the least every one here at Sci-Fi United is eagerly awaiting it’s release.

Next up one of our recently featured projects, Dome is in it’s final week of fundraising. With only 7 days to go and 58% of their funding goal still needed they’ll be doing a big push to spread the word and invite new supporters. With a go big or go home attitude they recently released a list of some big names on board for the project.

VOICE TALENT : CCH POUNDER (Avatar, The Shield, Warehouse 13), BERNIE CASEY (Revenge of the Nerds, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Sharky’s Machine), JIM BYRKIT (Rango), KE QUAN (The Goonies, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom) and PAUL SCHEER (The League, NTSF:SD:SUV, Children’s Hospital) are just the first of many diverse and fun voices who will fill this world!

MUSIC / SCORE : Composer RANI SHARONE and digital music pioneer KRADDY will each bring their own unique styles to the tone, excitement, and drama of this epic adventure.

SOUND DESIGNER MARK BINDER (Community, Super 8, Paranormal Activity 1+2) will bring all of this great stuff together in his own wizard-like way to create something truly fantastic!

While the Mighty Treehouse team has been working away on the feature it’s self, our friends at QMx have been working hard on the Dome MB-209 Maquette.

It may seem like a long shot, but I’ve seen plenty of projects raise a lot more in their final days. I for one hope they are able to pull it off, it would really be a shame never learn what happens of that little robot. If you’d like to support them, or already are and want to raise you donation level like I have click on over to their Kickstarter page.
